Mark Dudrow comes from a musical family and has been playing the cello since 1973, more recently delving into mandolins and guitars.

He has played and recorded with many artists in the Northern New Mexico/Colorado region including (but not limited to!): Bone Orchard, Jenny Bird, Tony Schueller’s Desert Highway, Chipper Thompson, Mason Brown, Roger Landes, Ben Wright, Don Richmond, Valerie Naranjo, Kim (Trieber) and the Caballeros, Vivian Thompson, and the cello section of the San Juan Symphony Orchestra.

He performs regularly with Justin Dean, Taos area gutarist, fiddler, singer and songwriter- described as a" High Desert Acoustic Duo", Mark and Justin are recording their live shows. Look for an eventual Live Bootleg release!

They are shown here lurking in their favorite corner of Eske's Brew Pub in Taos, New Mexico, and in Mark's kitchen......

“ I am always involved with musical projects: Teaching, practicing, performing, playing, recording and working out new ways to use the cello in solo performance outside the realm of classical music (Though I like to play classical too!!!!). Currently, I am working on a number of different projects including some free-form electronic jamming, celtic and bluegrass tunes…..and some modal Middle- Eastern and Balkan music, with the group Radio Free Bassanda, featuring Ben Wright on bass, Chipper Thompson on percussion, and Roger Landes on a myriad of stringed instruments. Roger is the mainstay of Zoukfest, an annual world music camp in Northern New Mexico."

Another ongoing project, The Devout Pedestrians, is a collaboration with violinist extremist Ed Caner that merges nearly three decades of music performance in almost every imaginable genre. For more info go to www.xviolin.com
